The Hada Labo's Arbutin Whitening Lotion have been serving me well for the past half year for my daily whitening fix. Living in a country like Malaysia requires at least one whitening product to be in my cleansing routine. No kidding, since sometimes I tend to commit the unduly sin of not slapping sunblock before heading out,I can be that lazy thank you.
Anyway,Guardian ( local pharmacy store) had a promotion sometime back, 2 Hada Labo's Super Hyaluronic Acid Lotion for the price of RM 59.99, what a steal ! It usually cost about RM 39.90 ( or somewhere around there) for one! And it even comes with a trial pack AHA face wash, yey. SO i got one for myself and another for my aunt.
I will first do a personal review on the Super Hyaluronic Acid Lotion and then compare it to its sister Arbutin range.
Thou the Hyaluronic Acid Lotion is good , I prefer the Arbutin Whitening range more when compared.
A brief summary on the main ingredients used :
( Extracted from Hada Labo's website)
Super Hyaluronic Acid
- Twice the moisture retention capacity of Hyaluronic Acid.
- Has the ability to mimic skin's natural moisturizing ability to enhance water retention of the stratum corneum (outermost layer of the epidermis, composed of large, flat, polyhedral, plate-like envelopes filled with keratin, which is made up of dead cells that have migrated up from the stratum granulosum ; wikipedia)
- Oil free,fragrance free,alcohol free.
Here is what the Hada Labo's Syper Hyaluronic Acid Lotion claims to do :
- Instant hydrates skin and help preserves its optimum moisture balance.
- Help improves dry and dehydrated skin.
- Balance skin pH value( which i have no idea how to test this lalala~)
My take :
- It does hydrates the skin as promised.
- Its a little stickier in texture compared to the Arbutin range, but when applied,it sinks in fast. ( disclaimer : I did not apply the lotion as demonstrated by Hada Labo,I used a cotton pad instead )
- Skin feels supple after usage, although its just a lotion/toner.
- Still,it only moisturizes,I prefer a product which offers 2 in 1, say whitening and moisturizing? because I am lazy just like that, tqvm.
Overall,I think this is a good product and worth investing a bottle. Its good for the sensitive skin unless you are allergic to Hyaluronic Acid, then too bad wtf. However,I will not repurchase because the Arbutin range suits me better.
My nail stuff,still growing :)
