I recently bought my first group deal coupon from Groupon for food @El Toro Butchery & Grill. It was for about 200g of Australian ribeye with accompanying salad,fries and soup of the day for 51% off the original price. The place was near my college so I gave it a try with my bf after a long day of class.
The deal seems too good to resist and I've never had ribeye before,like seriously and I used to believe that I was not supposed to consume beef XD Was it worth the deal? Read on to find out.
I love the concept of their store especially the chalk board on the side of their restaurant.

I had to ask permission from them to post this up as I forgot to take pictures of the overall store and their fresh beefs for sale at the counter.
Another thing to love about this place would be their choices of sauces! The ones that I've been to before only offers the usual ketchup and tomato.Imagine the joy when I saw Dijon Mustard and BBQ Sauce with woodsmoke flavour.
The pumpkin soup with a piece of garlic bread. This pumpkin soup is a bit thick with lots of pumpkin chunks,personally I would only love thick soups if only it were clam chowder,mushroom soup or any creamy soup. As for this,taste was okay but I didn't like the texture,I've had better ones. But this is definitely up to one's personal taste.
The garlic bread is really yummy thou (Y) thumbs up for the charred marks.
The highlight of my trip there,to try this below.
I had my beef medium well as I'm not into those reddish meat,thou this was slightly pink at the thick part but that's okay. I love the salad,the vegetables were fresh with a very refreshing sauce and some grated cheese. Fries was not bad,thick and crispy fries.
This is no prime steak so I did not expect much from it. I read up that its supposed to be tender but because I opted for medium well,its a little chewy here and there but thats all right. Overall its quite good,no strong taste of bitterness fro the charred marks.

I'm glad that my first experience with groupon deals for food was pleasant.I've read some nasty comments about buying coupon deals online. Some receives bad treatment or something that was different from the deal promised.
For those not fond of beef ,no fret. They have an a la carte menu of salmon,chicken and lamb steak to choose from.

I've been looking at Groupon for a year, but I haven't gotten anything because I can't be forced to commit like that. Most people I've heard about like Groupon!

Ah, if you see a deal you like,just create an account and purchase the deal using either debit/credit card.Usually a deal will only be activated if a certain number of ppl buys it,if not they will refund the money if the deal is off(usually do not happen,unless its like some deal thats not worth the money). Once transaction done,print the coupon and take it to the shop to redeem. like said for food,some requires booking so yeah,they will state it on the deal page,so read before purchasing. Its quite simple actually :D I've read alot that food coupons are good,facials and massage are abit tricky. go with the ones that are well known or have been around for some time,some are relatively new so service might not be that good) I hope this helps! :D
