The Invention Test 1 : Cleansing Pad

Hello! How's everyone doing?I'm trying to blog more often now,I hope I keep up and stop slacking on posting.

***

I will be starting a new post series lol,I know this is kind of funny but yeah it will be on inventions(haha not sure what to name it as) and whether the stuff are actually useful like this cleansing pad below which I bought at Daiso. So I hope you guys find this useful, somehow or maybe just for fun reads.

The Cleansing Pad

I first came across this cleansing pad from the BeautyQQ videos on youtube and she was explaining on how to reduce blackheads on the nose using this. Out of curiosity, I went to Daiso and found a cleansing pad almost 99% similar to the one shes using.

Let me sum it up in point forms :

Purpose :
  • To help reduce blackheads on the nose and clear the pores.

Price/Place :
  • Daiso is a 100 yen shop so yeah, and in Malaysia it is priced at MYR5.

It has this round small piece for anyone to test how the pad feels.

Please click the photo to enlarge and see up close how fine the silicone "hair" is like.

The cleansing pad has this  flipper tip at the back for the user to grip it between fingers for a better hold.

How I use it :

  • I will squeeze some facial wash onto the pad and spread it all over.
  • And then just scrub the nose in gentle motion, sometimes I uses this to scrub my forehead where a lot of white heads are present. I actually notice the white heads coming off after using this! Not so much on the nose.

I hope someone finds this useful. Thou I can't promise that what works for me might work for you too,so try at your own risk.

thats really cool, i've never seen anything like it before, maybe i've seen it but didn't realize its for facial purposes! lol

Oh it looks nice, but if you have white heads you shouldn't scrub at all. Maybe use a cleansing mask, preferably with lactic acid, but no rubbing, scrubbing at all. It aggravates the skin, makes the pores produce more oil and spread those white heads. Try some aspirin mask without rubbing and see how it goes.

I have one exactly like this in pink! It works alright for me? I don't see that much of a difference when I use it (but that's probably because I don't use it religiously .. i use it once a week.. or two haha) It feels pretty good though compared to conventional exfoliating gloves/towels~

ohh i used to use this before being obsessed with the clarisonic, i think it does a good job of massaging the face and spreading the facewash. as for blackheads, it didn't do anything for me

Hi Lily! Thank you so much for the suggestion. I actually tried using aspirin mask before and it didn't quite work for me,I don't know why,its been working so good for others. As for cleansing mask with lactic acid,I will check if my mask contains that,I have a few cleansing mask meant to combat problems like mine but so far the scrubbing helped a little with removing surface whiteheads instead of squeezing it out.

Me too! I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for the youtube video!

Ya haha its not much different than any other scrubbing tool just it helps to remove those surface whiteheads without squeezing it. I bought the exfoliating gloves too! Will be up next on the invention test.

Hi Nic! Hmmm yeah its either it works or it doesn't. So far this is good for a little scrub on the surface whiteheads to get rid of em XD otherwise, its just meh..

I've seen this on a few beauty blogs but haven't tried it myself. I think one of the Garnier Fructisse face washes actually includes a cleansing pad like this. I haven't been able to find anything that works to remove blackheads from the nose either :/

Oh I see, aspirin mask is good, but surely not for everyone, it works very well on my nose pores & lackheads, plus I notice a whitening effect better than spesilized products.... I also read that mud masks are good as they absorb a lot of the oil and are making the skin regenerate faster. Lactic acid is found in yogurt so you can just buy a cup and apply some diy mask at home. :D
