Hey guys,sorry for the short hiatus since my last post on the giveaway,been busy with my applications,I'm almost done,will be sending my documents soon after Chinese New Year. Keeping my fingers crossed =X

I have a lot of food pictures to share,so this post will be entirely on food I've had in the past month.

Does anyone of you own a salad tosser/spinner? Those that spins salads just by rotating the lever. Should I get one? lol I like my salads evenly tossed.

#1 Caesar Salad from Nando's

I think this salad was tossed using one of those tosser,the greens were evenly coated with caesar sauce and cheese.

#2 Duck Confit Spaghettini with sun dried tomatoes from Delicious

One of the best pasta I've had in my entire life,wtf like seriously >.< I never used to fancy oil based ones because I find it too oily for my liking only to realized later on that it was not done right.

#3 Some parts of beef with a side of peas and potatoes.

Can't recall which part of beef this was, if I'm not mistaken its a fillet mignon.

This was surprisingly tender and flavorful. I hate the potatoes though, I'm a mashed person.

#4 Peach and banana crumble with ice cream

The peach and banana crumble tasted weird together,maybe I'm not used to the combination. However if washed down with ice cream it tasted surprisingly good.

#5 Vietnamese shredded chicken noodles with sides of spring rolls and mango salad

#6 Stirred fried beef in XO sauce with a side of spring roll,mango salad and tofu soup served with rice

I love Vietnamese vermicelli noodles, clear soup infused with coriander is da bomb yo.

#7 Meet Fresh Taiwanese Grass Jelly and Taro balls shaved ice dessert

I shall end this post with some Taiwanese dessert. I love grass jelly and the taro balls are soft and chewy. The white liquid is actually fresh milk,goes very well with the black syrup infused shaved ice.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Well its CNY eve here in Malaysia,not sure if everyone else is celebrating at the same time. Wishing everyone a prosperous new year! =D

Holiday Haul 2 + Gifts

Whoops,I haven't been blogging since last year! * shyface

Sorry for the absence,been busy since the day my brother came back for winter break, been his shopping companion * cough to get gifts for his friends back in the States and also been going out for a lot of meet-ups with high school friends and relatives. I'll put up a proper post soon and a giveaway on its way, I hope.

So here is the 2nd part of Holiday Haul Post. I shall start off by showing some gifts my brother's gf gave me :) Never in my brother's entire love life that a gf of his ever gave me gifts * teary eyes.

She got some accessories for me even though she couldn't come for a visit.

Some ICING earrings, a ring and a necklace. Thanks X if you ever come across my blog ,lol.

While here are some beauty products that I got my bro to buy for me. I've actually requested more than this but my brother was lazy to go look for the rest.

Milani Liquif-Eye eyeliners ( been hearing lots of good comments about these) , The Body Shop products bought during the Black Friday sale and also the Urban Decay Potion Primer.

I've came to realize that Urban Decay products that are sold in Sephora Malaysia are not overpriced at all. After converting the total cost ( which includes tax in the states) ,its only a mere MYR 5 difference! T.T So its actually affordable to get the products in Sephora Malaysia instead of getting someone to it back unless the stuffs are on sale and etc.

Anywayyy, I've recently bought some korean stationery online. I can't believe I've missed out on the cuteness of korean stationery until now.

I bought some large piece stickers to decorate my laptop,some rubber stamps,masking sticker sets for my planner,corner bookmarks and the vocab note book was free =D

The rubber stamps are diy,it came with a piece of rubber ,a foam block and stickers to identify the stamps from the top. So basically its a lot of cut and paste.

Well, that's all the shopping for now. Look forward to my next post! Hopefully won't be another haul post =X

Holiday Haul 1 V(^ _ ^)V

Christmas in less than 24 hours. Whose excited? :) I don't celebrate but boy do I feel the festivity.

Since its the holiday season and 2011 ending in 7 days ,most stores in Malaysia goes on sale and this is the time to find some good bargain.

I'm turning 20 next year ( in 9 days) and my poor Roxy purse needs to retire along with my teen age T.T So to 'celebrate' I've decided to get myself a new and sleek purse from Mango that holds a lot of cards=P and cash of course( not that I have a lot as a student .__.) .

I like long rectangular purses and preferably one with a wristlet. Sort of a habit which I've developed throughout the years. I tend to hold my purses like a clutch lol.

I dropped by Kiehl's too to pick up the Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion( my god what a long one) and went home with an extra Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment that was recommended by the SA.

Anyone here a fan of bedroom slippers? I'm very particular about clean soles so I wash my feet very often and would like to keep it as clean as possible. Bought the one in the picture below from Forever 21. Very cute with the polka dots and fluffeh too #jyeaaa.

I've also came across this pair of boots from Forever 21 which I feel in love at first sight,its hard to get a pair of boots that doesn't look hooker-ish here. Most boots here are shiny wtf and its hard to spot Malaysians wearing boots here but I likey.

Bought some Planet Popcorn too to try. Judging by the website,it seems that Planet Popcorn is a Taiwan chainstore. I've seen news that the famous Garret Popcorn is about to open in Malaysia but I'm not really sure where or when.

My pacman inspired nail art =D What do you guys think? Not very neat but I guess I'm improving,I did the designs on both hands,usually I struggle with my left(leftie here XD)

Shiseido Aqualabel White Clear Foam

Here is another review on the Shiseido Aqualabel White Clear Foam which I use along with the Shiseido Aqualabel White AC Lotion and White AC Essence VC.

Sorry for not uploading an original photo because I forgot to take a picture before I started using it,now its gross and...gross...for leaving it in the washroom. So I rather not and decided to use a stock photo instead.

What it claims :

Rich fine lather facial foam with ultra-fine powder cleanses your face and brightens the skin tone while protecting moisture in the skin with aqua synergy effect.
Contains White particles, Hyaluronic Acid, and Collagen.

Consistency: Thick white liquid with fine beads.
Smell : Smells quite good so I assume it contains some fragrance to some extend but its not overpowering.
Packaging : Plastic.
Comments : I like how it contains white "particles" or what I call beads in it,gives a gentle scrub while washing my face. The face wash is not drying for my skin and gives a clean feeling after usage. Not very sure about the whitening properties because I don't notice much improvement to my skin tone by just using this alone. I'm almost done with this face wash,I hate how when it reaches the end the face wash tends to get stuck at the side no matter how hard I try to squeeze it out. I have to mix water it in which is not recommended. By adding water it actually causes the face wash to lose its properties but I do not want to waste whats left inside :(
Ratings : 3/5. Average face wash,just meh...

Review : Shiseido Aqualabel White AC Essence VC

Consistency: Clear and slightly sticky liquid.
Smell : Smells faintly of alcohol(contains it).
Packaging : Plastic bottle with plastic cap. The tip where the liquid dispenses is like a dropper tip.
Comments : I love this essence and use this in my morning regime along with the White AC Lotion as it really helps with oil control and pigmentation from acne scar. Sometimes i load it on a growing acne to dry it out. This is quite pricey as it comes in a very small bottle( about 20 ml ++) and is even pricier than the AC Lotion. However,a little goes a long way,have to be frugal with usage.
Ratings : 4/5. Love the oil control properties just not so much on the price for the amount and it being a drugstore product.

Review : Shiseido Aqualabel White AC Lotion

The White AC range is one of the Aqualabel series that includes a whitening range(blue packaging),a moisturizing range(red packaging) and also a whitening and acne/blemishes control range(turquoise packaging) / White AC range.

The White AC range is much smaller than the other two in terms of the products available. For this range,it includes only a lotion,an emulsion and an essence(which I will review later on).

Part of their pamphlet too. Since the White AC range does not come with a cleanser,they recommended the whitening range foam cleanser instead( which i am using now for day routine).

** please note that my day and night routine are not the same as I use different products to combat my combination + acne/blemishes prone skin.

Claims to be fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and allergy-tested. Contains alcohol.

Consistency: Clear liquid.
Smell : Smells faintly of alcohol(contains it).
Packaging : Plastic bottle with plastic cap.
Comments : Started using this once I ran out of the Oxy Powder Lotion. Read good comments about it from NicNic's blogpost about the Aqualabel White AC Lotion here. I use this for my day routine because its refreshing and it contain oil control properties to prevent blemishes. I use this with cotton pads and it cleans up dirt pretty well :) Its light and refreshing with no scent( but there is a faint hint of alcohol) Since its meant for whitening ,I'm not sure if it works in whitening but it kept my face tone color even. My morning routine products consist mainly of oil control products so my initial purpose of getting this product was for that and not the whitening aspect. But hey,2 in 1,win win. So far so good,but since I'm slowly switching to Naruko products,I may or may not repurchase this once I'm done, we will see how it fairs with the Naruko Oil Out Toner later on.
Ratings : 4/5. Quite pricey for a drugstore product,but hey,its Shiseido so I'm not complaining. And it comes with a pretty reasonable amount of liquid to justify the price.

Hello everyone!! Sorry for the lack of updates lately,I'm done with my fall semester and will be sitting for my finals soon. Had a busy last week so yeah,pardon me :)

Yummy lavender cheesecake from Winterwarmers. Its very soothing(form the lavender) and yummy at the same time. I love love cheesecake with a thick bottom crust.pastry layer. I would usually check first to see if its thick enough to my liking before purchasing any.

OPI Stranger Tides on my nails with a golden sparkle nail polish on my ring finger.

I promise a better update soon! Probably a review on Naruko's stuff* hopefully. I've been using it for 2-3 weeks now and I've seen so much improvement on my oily skin from the oil out range. I don't know if its the weather(not that hot and sunny lately,been raining alot here in Malaysia) ,so I'm gonna test it out for a little longer before I review em here!

How I Store my Studded Earrings

Honestly,I don't know what this is or how I should describe it. Its basically a book like cover which I made from felt cloth to hold all my studded earrings.

All you need is :

2 felt cloth of any color.
Button(s).
Thread.

I did all the sewing by hand,its that easy. I sew one side of the green cloth to the yellow one so it can be flipped to remove the earrings.

I also sewed the sides of the cloth to prevent it from fraying.

Pardon my ugly sewing :P Haven't mastered the art of ending with neat ends yet.So what ya think? Useful?

Majolica Majorca Majolook in BR 799

I'm not good at reviewing makeup,still learning so pardon me for the beginner level review ^.^

I'm not sure if this series is still available on the international market but as far as I know Malaysia's Majolica Majorca counters are still carrying this series of eye shadows.

BR799 comes with 3 neutral eye shadow colors and 1 creme highlighter.

1. Creme translucent highlighter

2. To me this color is like a crossover between white and peach,kind of a light peach color.

3. Metallic brown

4. Coffee kind of brown

All the colors are very sparkly except for the coffee brown(4) which is a little toned down compared to the rest.

Pro(s):

Colors are suitable for day time use(with light application) and also night time use.
Color payoff is good,don't have to swipe hard to catch the colors.

Con(s):

Have to be careful during application cause there are some fall outs.
Can be too sparkly for those who prefer something more matte.

I guess that is it,so far I've been using the coffee brown a lot as an eyeliner,it blends easily to a soft touch for day use.

I'm looking to get another neutral palette,any recommendations? something more affordable please than the Naked palette if anyone were to suggest that XD

My skin have been behaving well lately, am testing out some new products and so far so GOOOD. I'm not sure if its the weather or the skincare. I'm finally done with 6 products,4 more to go! (for the 10 pan project thingy)

Movember- Raising Awareness for..

Movember is actually the month of November where males shave clean on the 1st day of November and grow their mustaches out until November ends to gain awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. This movement is something similar to women's Breast Cancer awareness. Initiated in Australia and now a global movement.

The idea for Movember was sparked in 2003 over a few beers in Melbourne, Australia. The guys behind it joked about 80's fashion and decided it was time to bring the moustache back. To show my support for this movement ( I can't wear mustaches ,I simply just can't...) I

Here is my version of the mustache nails,not as nice as the ones in the tutorial but give me a

break alright :P my 1st try.

I added extras to personalized it and to call it my own,so faces were drawn on my ring fingers and on my thumbs.

Movie : In Time

Another recent movie that I've watched. I have to admit,Justin Timberlake totally caught my eyes, his look improved so much compared to his days as an NSYNC member.

In Time is a sci-fi thriller movie as it involves having a future where time is EVERYTHING. Like seriously,you pay eat breath time. Watch the movie and you will find out soon enough. I went without knowing what this movie was about,except that Justin Timberlake was in it. Yes the poster was very very convincing.

This movie requires a little thinking,but not as heavy as the movie Inception. Overall,the plot was bearable. Having time ticking away,it kept me asking " IS HE GONNA DIEEE??? IS SHE GONNA DIEE????" so yeah I was on the edge of my seat throughout the movie ;)

The Invention Test 3 : Daiso Silk Skin Scrubber

Purpose: A washing cloth in a glove shape with 2 different sides.
Place/price: Daiso /100 Yen/MYR5
How I used it : I generally use this to wash off mud mask or any mask that is applied on. Sometimes I do use this when I feel like I need a good scrub. My face feels clean after usage. I will then wash the cloth and air dry it till the next time I use it.

Verdict: I like how this face cloth comes with 2 different sides. One side being soft and another being rough to scrub of dead cells. I also like how its in a glove shape that fits my hand perfectly. I always chuckle whenever I use this because it reminds me so much of Doraemon's rounded hands. Don't ya think? The washing cloth being pink is a plus to me :P

I've finally reached 200 followers,in fact,201 followers,yay me,that took pretty long but oh well :) Happy with what I've achieved so far ^^

On another note, I did this nail french tip nail design sometime ago,I totally winged the tip line with just the brush applicator of the nail polish,pretty straight eh? :)

Base is a white shimmery color from The Face Shop and the aquamarine tip color from Etude House. Doted nail design colors from Skinfood and Etude House.

Decorated my calculator with sweetness ,literally =P Its not complete yet as I need to fill the gaps with more rhinestones but not too shabby eh?

Collective Haul 2 - Hada Labo,Sally Hansen,L'oreal,Sunsilk and Random Knick Knacks

Here are my recent hauls,3rd part to come,been buying a lot lately as I'm finishing up my supplies.

My Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion is almost done,so I got the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Lotion in twin pack, which is cheaper by the way. I also bought a Sally Hansen Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover at a cheap price from using the vouchers I got from Guardians.

I'm finally done with my giant pack of Ascience Shampoo and decided to change to a cheaper alternative since the Ascience Shampoo lost its charm. The one below is the Sunsilk Lively Clean and Fresh Shampoo. I'm using this alternately with the Clean and Clear Dandruff Shampoo for Women. I've heard that switching alternately between 2 brands of shampoo actually strengthens the hair. I'm not too sure about this,anyone care to clarify? or anyone experience it before?

Next to the smapoo is the L'oreal Men Expert Pure and Matte Anti-Mark Roller,lol that was long name for a product. Yah,I know its meant for men but I've read it somewhere(I think its www.mywomenstuff.com?) that this is effective,not too sure,still trying out,might review it in the future. I do like the metal roller ball thou,very cooling on hot days.

Random gift shop haul, a waterproof 35mm Lomo Camera,a mini tripod and a wire roll that is shape like an albino bear.Lol.

A cosmetic pouch from Daiso which I'm now using as a pencil case. Love the hot pink color and the polka dots! My previous case is also from Daiso and have since retired from 4 years of usage.

Daiso sells almost everything you need. I got the contact lens case and some travel friendly multipurpose solution for lens. I recently bought 2 pairs of new contact lens online,will review them soon!

Lastly,Naruko products from Watsons. Thanks to BijinBlair,I found out that Watsons is selling their products. The ones above are the Naruko Marjoram and Lavender Brightening Eye Cream and the Oil Out Tea Tree T-Zone Blackhead Remover.

Ninja Pictures : Hokkaido Santouka Ramen,Pavilion

Ninja Pictures because I forgot my camera the day I visited the place. Sorry for the grainy pictures as these are taken with my Blackberry.

The interior of the place. Kinda small,fits only up to maybe 30-40 pax but their service was swift due to the long queue every time throughout the day. I think they just want customers to finish fast and make way for new customers.

Now onto the food..

Aburi Toroniku,roasted pork cheeks.

This is yummers,the pork cheek texture is very different from the meats I've tried. Kinda chewy but in a good way and nothing like hard meat( is this even right?lol)

Shio Ramen,salt pork based soup ramen.

According to their fb page here , this is voted as the most popular flavor of soup compared to the others which is Shoyu Ramen,Miso and Kara Miso.In my opinion,I have to agree. I've tasted 3 out of 4 and nothing beats Shio.

Kara Miso Ramen,spicy miso pork based soup.

This one is just okay. Comes with 2 piece of charsiew,bamboo shoots and random vegetables I don't know.

They have other side dish as well and have sets to order from.

Movie : Real Steel

Have yo guys catch Real Steel yet? I did and the movie was great and very much above my expectations for it.I think it was even better than the Transformers sequel this year.

Basically it is a movie about robot boxing that is set in the future and revolves around Hugh Jackman's character and his son with robots.

I love the young kid in the movie who plays the son of Hugh Jackman's character. Although young ,his acting skills was quite impeccable and raw.

Quite a cutie,I'm sure his gonna grow up to be a heartbreaker someday.

While Hugh Jackman was...being Hugh Jackman,great acting skills,far better than his previous movies that I've seen before.

Look at the expression!!!

RAWWRRR!!!!

The effects in this movie is not far behind either,the robots appeared to be so real and so 'there' rather than just a visual figure.

Catch it if you haven't only if you love action movies like this :) or maybe robots...

Nicki Minaj by OPI Collection

OPI will be collaborating with Nicki Minaj to release 6 new colors next year,2012. I'm very impressed by this collection,even more than the Katy Perry by OPI collection!

Here is a look on the 6 colors set to release next year January 2012.

1 shatter nail polish,2 glitter ,2 cream neon like colors and 1 that looks like a holographic nail polish,not too sure till the swatches are out.

The set up for the collection,I like the one on the left more compared to the one on the right.

What it claims :

Very Precious Cream is effective at stimulating and regenerating skin through the night, when skin is in its peak repair phase. Very Precious Cream fights all signs of aging: skin disorganization, wrinkles, loss of firmness, loss of radiance and pigmentation marks.

Consistency : Medium thick cream.

Packaging : Plastic jar with plastic cover,a total opposite compared to the Immortelle Eye Balm that is also in the same range which has a glass jar.

Comments : This cream is meant for night application as it applies a little(only just a wee bit) oily on my eyes,but then again,I have a face ( and yes that includes eyelids) that ooze buckets of oil everyday,so I guess its not the cream's fault. Anyway it takes about 5-10 minutes maybe for the cream to be completely absorb by the skin area around the eye. The scent is light yet quite soothing which I <3 . I've been using this for quite some time now and is almost done with it,I have to be very frugal as its about the same size as the Immortelle Eye Balm. I do see results,quite obvious in fact but only after some time of usage,its not instant you see but it does show results. My eyes are very puffy and tired with eyebags the size of a pillow,but after using this I notice my eyes appear brighter and less puffy compared to the times when I'm not using one. The only downfall would be,its EXPENSIVE and IT TAKES SOME TIME FOR RESULTS TO SHOW.

Ratings : 3.5/5,ratings lost due to price concern. I would repurchase when I have the money,this is quite an impulsive purchase.

Sorry for the lack of blog post,been trying to catch up with my studies,I'm only taking 3 subjects this semester but yet so hectic.

So here is a random post from the past week,my Australian cousin was back for a visit,so between juggling my studies and being sick( i fell sick twice in 2 weeks -__-),I was asked to bring my little cousin(yes his only 14/15 and taller than me .__.) around ,I'm closest to him since my brother is not around and my other cousins are chinese educated and can't communicate well with him.

My cousin is named after a famous capital and a city in the east coast of USA, lol lol,I'm still giggly over his name till today. Any guesses? I will reveal his name in my next blogpost.

Angry Birds inspired cake,tailored for my cousin( thou he not being very interested in the design more than the cake itself,yummy blackforest cake) Its a big hit here in Malaysia,my aunt assuming that all kids love angry birds,got this for him XD

If you follow me on twitter,you would have seen my tweeting about an english version of Ray magazine,a Malaysia and Singapore edition!( follow me if you haven't already @eee2s ,lol) Contents are Japanese with a few local pages.

Here is a spread from the magazine! =D I can't read chinese and japanese so imagine my excitement!! Finally something that I can read instead of just admiring the pictures and all. <3

The magazine also came with a free naga nail pre-glued nails!!! Double score,the magazine was priced at MYR 9,about 3USD and came with a free gift.

And lastly,a picture of my new bag pack from forever21. I love to carry bag pack nowadays,so convenient and less stress on the shoulders in a sense that its balanced compared to handbags and sling bags.Maybe its just me but oh well.

The Invention Test 2: Daiso Woolen Face Washing Brush

I hate to admit that I bough this tool in hopes of it becoming the manual and traditional version of the clarisonic XD GAAAH

As predicted,it did not work out to what I expected. This sucks. There is another version of this brush which is the plastic ones,I thought this would be better because it seems less harsh.

Purpose: A face brush that helps to cleans the face,said to help reduce visibility of pores,blackheads and such.
Place/price: Daiso /100 Yen/MYR5
How I used it : Gently brush around the face except for eye area.

Verdict: Okay,I would recommend to get the plastic/rubbery ones because the woolen brush tangled on 1st usage and its hard to untangle it,now I'm probably gonna use it to wash the tiles or something,I don't know but so wasted. Luckily its cheap.

I should really start saving up for a clarisonic or maybe the sigma ones. Should I? Sorry for this short update,I'm busy with my studies now,lots of assignments,midterm and quizzes piling up! I will update as soon as possible k! Take care everyone.

Haul 1 - Crazy About Nail Stuff

I've been hauling a lot in the month of September on different occasions and this is part of my purchases. I totally failed on my 10 pan project,will show you my beauty purchases in another post.So this is one of the few stuff I've bought,mostly nail stuff.

My order on bornprettystore.com 's stuff came in almost the same time as the gifts from giveaways' I've won. A friend of mine helped me place an order for the stuff because I don't own a paypal account ( international peeps have to go through a lot of steps to own one if one do not own a credit card,so yeah) .

I've been eyeing this set of nail tools for the longest time and finally decided to get it after searching high and low for dotting tools that are reasonably priced which I failed to do.

This set was for about 11++ USD including free shipping.That translates to about MYR 32.

This set includes :

A set of 5 nail dotting tools that comes in various sizes( based on the tip of the tool)
A set of about 9-10 woodsticks( I really need to learn how to use these)
3 wheels of mini rhinestones for nails.
4 bottle of glue for nails.

These are the nail dotting tools I mentioned about. Good for polka dotting(lol a non existing term) your nails or can be use to draw pictures on it. You get about 10 different size tips, each tool with 2 ends.

The rhinestone wheels. Each with different shapes and comes in different colors. So one of the wheels arrived in a mess,2 were packed in individual plastic while 1 wasn't. So the rhinestones were everywhere in the envelope,I wish they package that wheel as well.

Conclusion: I rate bornprettystore 3.5/5 overall.Good quality stuff and prices are reasonable with free shipping. The only downside was the packaging of 1 wheel,somehow it just appeared to me like that wheel was used or was some rejected good,I don't know. I had to clean the spill of the rhinestone. The glue was not full,just half of each bottle.

End of bornprettystore story,lol.

Now onto nail polishes. My 1st purchase of expensive nail polishes. Compared to korean and drugstores,these are definitely expensive for me. Prices are higher here in Malaysia,if converted its about 18-19 USD per bottle. Crazy much? Luckily I bought mine online via wholesaler so prices are much friendlier and closer to the ones in the States.

Ever since trying Seche Vite,I'm hooked on changing nail colors often,so expect some nail polish swatches in the future.I'm so behind on posting,sorry guys!

El Toro Butchery & Grill

I recently bought my first group deal coupon from Groupon for food @El Toro Butchery & Grill. It was for about 200g of Australian ribeye with accompanying salad,fries and soup of the day for 51% off the original price. The place was near my college so I gave it a try with my bf after a long day of class.

The deal seems too good to resist and I've never had ribeye before,like seriously and I used to believe that I was not supposed to consume beef XD Was it worth the deal? Read on to find out.

I love the concept of their store especially the chalk board on the side of their restaurant.

Noticed that the spelled Butchery as Buthery? Ooops.

The place is part butchery part restaurant(duh quite obvious from the name of the place XD) so they have a counter at the side selling fresh cut of different parts of the beef.

I had to ask permission from them to post this up as I forgot to take pictures of the overall store and their fresh beefs for sale at the counter.

Another thing to love about this place would be their choices of sauces! The ones that I've been to before only offers the usual ketchup and tomato.Imagine the joy when I saw Dijon Mustard and BBQ Sauce with woodsmoke flavour.

The pumpkin soup with a piece of garlic bread. This pumpkin soup is a bit thick with lots of pumpkin chunks,personally I would only love thick soups if only it were clam chowder,mushroom soup or any creamy soup. As for this,taste was okay but I didn't like the texture,I've had better ones. But this is definitely up to one's personal taste.

The garlic bread is really yummy thou (Y) thumbs up for the charred marks.

The highlight of my trip there,to try this below.

I had my beef medium well as I'm not into those reddish meat,thou this was slightly pink at the thick part but that's okay. I love the salad,the vegetables were fresh with a very refreshing sauce and some grated cheese. Fries was not bad,thick and crispy fries.

This is no prime steak so I did not expect much from it. I read up that its supposed to be tender but because I opted for medium well,its a little chewy here and there but thats all right. Overall its quite good,no strong taste of bitterness fro the charred marks.

I'm glad that my first experience with groupon deals for food was pleasant.I've read some nasty comments about buying coupon deals online. Some receives bad treatment or something that was different from the deal promised.

For those not fond of beef ,no fret. They have an a la carte menu of salmon,chicken and lamb steak to choose from.

A Trip Downtown - To the heart of KL

During the 1 week Raya break,I had nowhere to go,no hometown to return to,nothing as I am a pure KL breed(city girl). So I decided to roam the streets of KL which is usually jammed pack with people.

Here are some photos I've taken,enjoy!

A menu board of some yummy food at Lot 10 Hutong, a food court style eatery which was put together to carry all the famous food and delicacies you can find in KL. Those famous stalls/shops sets up their stall here. Talk about convenience.

Famous Mr.Siew Bao stall that sells all things pastry and some cakes to boot.

Cold dessert parlor,shaved ice and boiled desserts.

A random picture,you can spot me on the right of this picture trying to take this picture,lol. The place is designed to be old school,this is how it was like back in those days.

Famous people who visited the place before and this includes : Jimmy Choo,Michelle Yeoh,Martin Yan and a number of Hong Kong TVB actors and actresses.

On normal days,the streets of KL won't be empty like this. Rare times,rare times..

The newly opened Tokyo Street @ Pavilion KL. Hosting a few famous eateries from Japan. A small place but not to be missed.

Asian malls,6 floors of shopping heaven, can't see the UG here in this photo but definitely 6 floors.

Dropped by the only Sephora here in Malaysia,like finally,wanted to get some stuff there since I've already broken my shopping ban(another story for another post) but the place was packed,so I left empty handed. and thats Uniqlo next to it.

IT IS FAKE!! Just some food display which looks good enough for my tummy to rumble.

Another milk tea joint. However this is different from the usual Gong Cha,Cha Time(Taiwanese) and etc because this is Japanese!

They have this drink that contains Ikura instead of the usual selection of tapioca balls,aloe vera and etc. Will definitely head back for more as the drink that I wanted to try was sold out.

Update on my boring life :

I went for a trial pilates class recently and boy was it tough! This shows how weak I've become and need to start working out soon or risk putting on weight and gaining the hated inches on my waist. Will be trying yoga tomorrow before I decide on which class to take. Definitely different from pilates but I will see!

This sandals reminds me so much of the Birkenstock ones that I wanted so badly but its a tad pricey so I have to pass.

Found this Birkenstock dupe at Cotton On from their Rubi Shoes range! The best part is this sandals is in Leopard print! Can you say AWYEAH? I certainly did.

OMG wait,that was not the best part,I bought this for about MYR30. About close to USD10 for this pair. I need some time to break in this but so far its quite comfy! They ran out of size 36(about size UK 5) so yep, a size bigger but still fits perfectly fine since its molded in.

My feet size varies sometimes,I don't know why,might be how some shoes and sandals were structured. I recently bought a grape purple women's converse at size UK3 -__-

The Invention Test 1 : Cleansing Pad

Hello! How's everyone doing?I'm trying to blog more often now,I hope I keep up and stop slacking on posting.

I will be starting a new post series lol,I know this is kind of funny but yeah it will be on inventions(haha not sure what to name it as) and whether the stuff are actually useful like this cleansing pad below which I bought at Daiso. So I hope you guys find this useful,somehow or maybe just for fun reads.

The Cleansing Pad

I first came across this cleansing pad from the BeautyQQ videos on youtube and she was explaining on how to reduce blackheads on the nose using this. Out of curiosity, I went to Daiso and found a cleansing pad almost 99% similar to the one shes using.

Let me sum it up in point forms :

Purpose :

To help reduce blackheads on the nose and clear the pores.

Price/Place :

Daiso is a 100 yen shop so yeah,and in Malaysia it is priced at MYR5.

It has this round small piece for anyone to test how the pad feels.

Please click the photo to enlarge and see up close how fine the silicone "hair" is like.

The cleansing pad has this flipper tip at the back for the user to grip it between fingers for a better hold.

How I use it :

I will squeeze some facial wash onto the pad and spread it all over.
And then just scrub the nose in gentle motion,sometimes I uses this to scrub my forehead where a lot of white heads are present. I actually notice the white heads coming off after using this! Not so much on the nose.

I hope someone finds this useful. Thou I can't promise that what works for me might work for you too,so try at your own risk.

Shiseido Aqualabel White AC Essence ( my new found love,keeps the oiliness at bay :3 I need the extra help and this is the diggity bomb,will review this soon!)

My morning skincare is simple as that,my face tends to oil up very fast and I sweat easily at the presence of sun,heat and humidity.

Do share with me your morning skincare,is it as simple as mine? :)

I'm currently on Raya Holidays (National Holiday for the Muslims in my country,not sure if this is the same elsewhere) so I will try to prepare some drafts for posting when I get busy after this.

I am so far behind on my posts,and fall semester commenced the past Monday,how time flies,this is my 2nd last semester,another semester next year and all is left is to wait for an acceptance letter to a university in the States,have yet to apply,but all my choices are located in the midwest!Anyone from Nebraska?Iowa?Minnesota and Indiana? :)

Local Forever 21store was having a sale a few weeks back(I'm not sure if its still on) and I bought this feather earrings for only MYR 15,close to about 5 USD.

This was not my initial choice,wanted to get something longer and thinner instead of this. This was on sale,so *ahem got it anyway. Already have thoughts of pairing this up with the black maxi dress that I posted about.

Bought this book because I am a sucker for books that get turn into motion pictures. And also because Anne Hathaway is hot,and the guy in the picture is hot too. and the cover of the book is pure classic.

Anyone here besides me who likes to buy books like that? :3

Food I had ages ago,took me so long to edit it and post it here,my bad.

The big piece of you-don't-know-what is actually smoked salmon with pasta and cream sauce. Yuums,flaky smoked salmon pasta with grinded peppers.

Baked Salmon with grilled vegetables and rice. Hated the rice,it was a chunk of mushy rice. But the salmon was good.

Don't ask me why this appetizer only appears after the main. I'm too lazy to arrange it. Anyhow this is a rice croquette,basically rice ball fried in batter. The tomato base sauce was good too.

How it looks like inside,disgusting much? XD

That's about it,and I did my TOEFL today,had problems with the speaking section but oh well,I'm hoping for the best. I hope to update soon with a review,till then,take care everyone!

Montagne Jennesse Blemish Mud Mask,Anti Imperfection in a Packet?

Texture : Thick pasty mud type of mask.
Smell : This is the part of the mask where I hate the most. It smells so much of those bitter medication which reminds me of a trip to the hospital.It is bearable but the smell annoys me. Even after wash the smell lasted for quite awhile.
Packaging : A pack of mud mask.This is enough up to 4 usage with average application.
Comments : I've tried better mud masks that were meant for blemish and acne prone skin and this is just meh. You know how mud masks are supposed to give the tight and clean after feel? This definitely tighten my pores BUT my face did not feel clean. I have a zit on my forehead that didn't shrink( Clinique Mud Mask and the Queen Helena Mask? shrinks zit) I pretty much had high expectations for this mask as I've been seeing it around my local drug stores since I was young.Didn't do much to my skin,just another mud mask.
Ratings : 2/5. Easy to find and economical. Other than that,its just not good enough.

Vegetarian Standard,that is something new to me.

My apologies for not updating,been busy sleeping my days away,ugh I know but I can't help it .__. I just wanted to do nothing and indulge myself *.*

I went to a rock concert the past Sunday, I haven't been to one for a very long time,the last one was probably the Boys Like Girls gig by Nokia.

The one that I recently attended(Thank you Aggie for the tickets!) was hosted by MTV,this year around they brought in 2 acts that I really wanted to see live * SCORE! Anyone here a fan of 30 Seconds to Mars and Neon Trees?

Best live act I've seen so far,well its not like I've been to many but they are really good. Overall it was a great experience but tiring,stood in the hot sun for a few hours before being let in to the concert venue,I wanted to be at the most front in the zone that I'm in(I'm only 5 feet) so that I can have a clear view of the stage.

I wore a breathable V neck tee,cargo pants(so that I can stuff everything in my pocketS) and sneakers to the concert ,pretty much my rock concert staples since I wanted to be comfortable. What do you guys wear to a rock concert? I saw some girls in heels moshing away O.O"

Oh well,enough about my concert rambles. Here are a few stuff that I've bought recently during the Malaysian Big Sale for a great deal.

I bought it for only 1 reason : cheap and it is perfect for hot days. I'm not a romper fan(all the inconveniences that comes with it. ie : toilet visits) but this is too cute to resist!

Nothing much,just needed some basic stuff.

#4 Cotton On White Pocket Tee!
I found this in the guy's section and all that was left were sizes L and above.I thought hey,it would be comfy for college and it will look so good with the boyfriend jeans,sporting a lazy look XD

#5 Rubi Rings ,both for MYR 10,about 3.5USD?!

#6 Cotton On Braided Faux Leather Belt.

I used to hate wearing belts but now i'm on a rage thanks to a friend,spices up an outfit instantly!

I'm finally done with my summer semester and will be looking forward to my 3 weeks holiday!Not much of a holiday since I need to study for TOEFL but oh well,no deadlines and that's good!

Local Etude House brought in a new range of nail polishes!(well at least it is new in Malaysia) & new matte polishes in pastel colors!

I got the one in mint blue( I can't seem to identify the code for these,sorry >.<)

Not the best matte nail polishes around as it applies really streaky and need at least minimum 3 coats to have an even coverage. The nail polish on my thumb cracked slightly T.T the horror when it dried,are matte polishes like that??

The color is really pretty even thou I'm so used to glossy nail polishes. I never thought I would like this,it made my finger nails appear almost even sized <3

Another downside of this would be it turns slightly glossy days after application,almost like it loses its matte quality to it. The price is not that friendly either, MYR 9.90 for a small bottle(the usual bottle size of the regular range nail polishes).Judging by the rate I'm using it,it will probably finish in no time,3 thick coats for each finger,hmmph.

My Beauty Diary Natto Mask & Q10 Rejuvenating Mask

I received this Natto Mask from MaiKatOshaberi from one of her previous surprise giveaway ^^

Texture : Reasonably thick tissue mask generously soaked with essence.
Smell : The Q10 Rejuvenating Mask surprisingly smells quite refreshing with a hint of orange citrus. As for the Natto Mask,there wasn't any prominent scent so I have no idea on how to describe the scent.
Packaging : Good quality foil packaging,one of the best I've seen so far. You know how some can be very flimsy? this is definitely not.
Comments : I've tried a few types of My Beauty Diary Masks before and all seem to be okay and pretty similar to one another. However it was different for the Natto Mask, I'm not sure if its only me,but I did see an effect after usage,my skin appear brighter and more translucent. No wonder Kat of MaiKatOshaberi loves this so much! As for the Q10 Mask,my skin does appear brighter and translucent too thanks to the Q10 but not as much as the Natto Mask. I'm not sure if its me but my skin appears less oily the next day( i use it at night before sleep). Overall this two masks are the ones that i'll target instead of getting the set with all the flavors next time I make another purchase. Not sure if its limited edition thou T^T
Ratings : 4/5! The price differs from where you get it,I got this on sale at my local drugstore so it was about MYR 4 bucks per mask, USD 1.2 maybe?

Pleats and Maxis

A quick question to start off this blog post,do you guys spend when you are feeling the blues and filled with stress? I DO and its not good T^T

I will just buy buy buy even when I'm low on money ,can't seem to fight the blues on my own. Even when I'm stay put at home,I will spend online .___. this is such a bad habit but sigh...

Anyway,on to this post.

I'm probably one of the last few to be hopping on to the fashion bandwagon. I've been seeing a lot of famous fashion bloggers or icons donning the maxi skirt in bright hues for the summer.

Maxi skirt looks super comfy to wear and very breathable like how maxi dresses are.

A Choo Choo Steamboat

I like to have steamboat on cold rainy days ^.^ ,we don't have winter here in Malaysia so cold rainy days have to make do as a replacement with the additional rain but oh well.

Steamboat is almost similar to a hotpot,or maybe it is,I don't know about the different terms used in different countries but I do know that Koreans have something similar which are hotpots!~

People usually share a large pot of yummy broth and just let the food simmer in the pot till it is cook. The stuff are pretty standard for a Malaysian steamboat : variety of meat and fish balls,vegetables,noodles, beef,chicken or pork slices and seafood. But nowadays due to hygienic purposes or for those who are allergic to sharing,there is an alternative : individual hotpots!

These individual steamboat pots are becoming very popular among us Malaysians as its easier to choose the ingredients according to personal taste.

The pots are mostly powered using induction stoves at the bottom instead of the traditional gas stoves that is still use at those steamboat joints that caters to big crowds that shares a big pot.

I usually have the tomyum or curry broth instead of the clear or herbal broth. I like it spicy and hot to warm the tummy.

Beef set that came with beef balls and beef slices and assorted noodles and stuff.

St. Ives Apricot Scrub - Gentle for the Sensitive Skin

Texture : Fine exfoliating beads with a thick cream base.
Weight : 170 g
Smell : This smells like the milder version of the Blemish Control Apricot Scrubs.For those who have no prior experience with this scrub,I guess it smells like medicated peach,lol but its very mild and easily forgotten.
Packaging : Standard plastic tube and plastic squeeze cover.
Comments :I've tried so many scrubs for the face and I always return to this. By far the best facial scrub that I've tried. As you can see from the picture above,it is not tested on animals and do not contain any animal ingredient.A definite plus for paraben free products.The prices for St Ives Scrub range is quite reasonable for a reasonable amount,sometimes a steal if its on discount! As I age(lol sounds damn old) my acne problem seems to lessen so I made the switch from the blemish control scrub to this for the sensitive skin as the beads are smaller and less damaging to the skin.I use this on alternate days,sometimes daily if I feel like my pores are clogging up. My skin feels smoother and cleaner after using this all the time,without fail.
Ratings : 5/5! I would repurchase this( or the other types from their range) till I find a new HG facial scrub.

I've watched Transformer 3 : Dark of the Moon!!! Yoohoo,not so left out anymore.

I'm there for the robots,optimus prime,bumblebee and...megatron.Lol,I seriously don't get the point of having Rosie to replace Megan Fox,because I don't get the point of having someone pretty running around doing nothing in the movie. Then again,what an eye candy eh? Carly,the character Rosie played,runs around in like 4 inch heels? and her designer clothes never gets dirty,maybe in a few scenes but it is clean most of the time.

Hello guys,hows everyone doing? I promised to blog a little more often and try not to abandon my blog no matter how busy I get,since knowing that I probably won't have the time in the upcoming few days to blog,I shall bribe you all with pretty pictures of random stuff,food and whatever I can dig out as I go.

I went shopping for artsy fartsy stuff quite some time ago to fix an antique Goddess of Mercy statue that my dad bought. Parts of it was chipped so it needed a clay fix and a color lift.

Got the premo! sculpey polymer clay to create those chipped off area.

Beef pasta that a friend had from Big Mouth,its a new pasta and pizza joint located near my college. Not the best pasta and pizza place around,but the prices are reasonable to cater to the student crowd.

I never like tomato based pasta. Yuck yuck,I'm up for cream,pesto and oil based ones anytime. It depends,some tomato based pasta are yummy,all boils down to the sauce.

Whats your favorite pasta sauce? and types of pasta? I loveeeee linguine,it goes so well with cream base sauces and pestos while shell pastas are good for tomato base sauces.

Keeping Drawers Neat

Hello guys, I haven't been updating frequently,sorry for not doing so.Can't apologize enough for ignoring my blog.And my comments decreased from the average of 20 to 10 :( lol,can't blame anyone but myself,no great content = no comments and readers.Oh well.

Did I mentioned sometime back that I was getting a new closet? It arrived about a month ago but I haven't gotten the time to pack and arrange my closet.

So recently I got this tool from Daiso that acts as a separator for my drawer,it comes in different height so you can get the right one that fits your drawer. I don't like to clutter my drawer and would like to organize it without getting boxes,so I find this to be the best way to do so while maximizing space.

These are the perspex like separator tool that is very much fence like. It comes in a standard length,so it only fits regular drawers.It can be cut into any length you desire and just combine the short to the long ends.

So this is how I arranged mine to be.3 center compartment from large,medium and small,lol,that was not done on purpose,I just ran out of the separator.

This will lessen the clutter and make finding things easier.Instead of getting it customized to have separator,this plastic tool can be removed anytime I want.

The Body Shop Spa Wisdom Japan Adzuki Bean & Rice Washing Grains

Hey guys,sorry I haven't been commenting a lot lately,but I do read your updates! :)

Texture : Finely grinded rice and adzuki bean grains.
Weight : 125 g
Smell : This smells surprisingly good and yummy. But the smell can be a little heavy,but that is before mixing it with shower gel/water. If mixed I think it would be more subtle to the nose.
Packaging : Clear glass jar with with a study cover and latch,I would definitely reuse this jar once I'm done with it.
Comments : It claims to whiten and remove dead skin cells from body. Whitening wise,I did not see a difference after usage,nor did I see any after a period of time using this,maybe that's just me as I'm always out in the sun. I shall give this a benefit of a doubt. As for removing dead skin cells,I think this is a great none abrasive choice of dry body scrub(either mix with water or shower gel),the grains are fine,so its very gentle to the skin yet it does the job of removing the dead skin cells.My skin feels super soft after using this and I smell so good( Lol,self praise) thanks to this!
Ratings : 5/5! I would repurchase this whenever it goes on sale,I got this during The Body Shop sale and it was on 50% discount!

EDIT : I forgot to mentioned that why this product claims to whiten and lighten the skin color. Rice grains contains a high concentration of PABA which acts as a very good sunscreen.It also contains two other sun protecting agents such as ferulic acid and allantoin. Rice is an Asian skin secret that was used as part of a beauty product back in those days.

Sorry for not updating as frequent as before,I'm busy as a bee lately with college. Haven't been sleeping well :( can't wait for the weekend XD

On a totally unrelated note,I hate last minute work/assignments,I hate anything late,last or etc.may it be people or work.Group assignments are the worst. All this unwanted stress,grr. I just can't think properly when I know the time is running out. So,I don't really do well in exams because of the time limit,its either that,or I need to prepare way ahead of myself,then again its just me? Anyone else having the same problem?

I like to fold plastic bags,you know how those plastic bags gets crumpled after usage?I like to smoothen it back and fold it back as if never use,of course the crumples will be there just smoothen out XD
I must wash my hair every single day without fail.(I'm so gonna regret this in the future & I should really start looking for a good dry shampoo soon)Is this even a pet peeve?I don't know.
I hate the screeching sound of fingernails against any rough surface(may it be paper or table)
Jerks who takes up 2 parking space.
Jerks who parks on the yellow line,its yellow for a damn reason.
People who are late.
People who smells funny,or smells like a granny,when they are not supposed to. Real grannies are fine with me.
Traffic lights(spent at least 10 minutes of my life when i'm on the road at traffic lights)
People who scoops stuff outta a jar or tub simply,it starts from one end to another,damn it.
Jerks who do not signal when they are making a cut.
Fingerprints on my spectacles.
Squeezing toothpaste out of the tube,it goes from down to up ok??

According to this award,lol I have to write something about myself?SO here it goes,a short get to know me post.

I'm 19 years old this year (from Malaysia,if oyu wonder where's Malaysia,its sandwiched between Thailand and Singapore)and less than half way through my degree in business,why business,as in why so general?because I'm not sure of whether to pursue finance or some other majors.The beauty of American Syllabus =D ,So far I'm finishing my GE and Pre-Business Studies,so I'll probably have to make the decision in my junior year when I fly over to the states(YAY YAY,anyone from Indiana,Iowa,Minnesota or Nebraska?).

I started blogging many years ago but it was mostly stuff about my life or just plain random(from my younger days). And now I prefer blogging about beauty,fashion and food and with random stuff on the sides.

So yeah,that's about it! for now,I'll update my about me page once I'm free ! =D Sorry for being MIA,been busy with my coursework,summer semesters are annoying,period.

DIY Your Old UNWANTED Jeans to Something Different

So I have this pair of jeans laying around my room unloved,unwanted and old. Haven't been wearing it for more than a year,or maybe two?

So I decided to revamp it into a short pants to wear at home or to wear out to a lazy Sunday lunch.

All I need is a pair of scissors! Like the previous DIY T Shirt cutting,the flaws are pretty much hidden. Read on to know why.

I am ashamed,bell bottom jeans dated back to when I was 15. I was short and still am.So I'm not suited for jeans like these.So that explains why I haven't been wearing it for so long.

1) Decide on a length that you want.

2) CUT. You can cut it roughly if you want to give it an edge or worn out look,use sand paper to give it a vintage,worn out look. In this case,I didn't.

3) TADAHHH.

4) Just fold it in and there you go,a cuff hem! No one would ever notice.

It is as simple as that,just be careful with the scissors. I have been digging through my closet to get rid of clothes that I haven't been wearing and those that wouldn't fit me anymore. I kept some of it that I think would be great for some DIY projects like this.

This is actually a cheat post wtf,this is not something new but I'm just sharing what I've been doing to my clothes lately.

The Malaysia Mega Sale is on! Starting 15th of June till sometime in August. I will be hunting for some must haves/staples for every girl,keeping my fingers crossed.

This is a Glossy Addiction

I think this color is a crossover between blue and purple.It looks more like a purple in the bottle but with the code BL=blue. So as expected,after applying it on the nails,it does look blue-ish.

Thank you all for ze awesome comments on my previous post on the Etude House Daily Mask.And I noticed a few new followers,thank you guys for following ^.^

On another tragic side note,a few countries(New Zealand,Japan and Indonesia) experienced earthquake with an average magnitude of 5.0 yesterday(13/6/2011) and today (14/6/2011) which the aftershock/tremor(from Indonesia) was felt throughout parts of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia early morning today.

I happened to be in my college building which is 11 floors high and I felt the tremor T.T chairs were moving and the air conditioner cooler was swaying left and right for a few seconds the first time I felt it,it took me awhile to actually realize that and to evacuate the building once it stopped.

I don't think I'm prepared for natural disasters,heck..I don't think any of us (Malaysians) are given that we used to be quite natural disaster free.

My heart goes out to those countries affected,god bless!

Etude House Daily Mask Skin Essence ( Vitamin C )

I bought this awhile back around February maybe?or March,might be even April.I don't really remember. This mask comes in a single pack of 20 sheets of mask.

As you can see,its a Daily Mask,suitable for everyday use,I think all Korean brands now carry these daily sheet masks . I saw some in Skinfood but boy are they pricey! I got this Etude House Daily Mask during their GT Sale.

If I am not mistaken,it comes in another type which I forgotten what it was. The one I got is the Vitamin C Masks.

Consistency and Condition of Sheet Mask : The sheet mask are paper thin like. If I were to compare this to the MBD sheet mask,this are thinner and tears easily,I tore one before,accidentally. So I have to be careful when removing the sheet mask. It is almost similar to peeling a wet tissue outta its packet.
Packaging : A plastic box with a pack of sheet masks inside which the foil peels open as indicated by the picture above.
Comments : This masks were cheap,I think a piece = about RM 1.20-RM1.50(USD0.40) each as I got it on sale.It does not do wonders but given that it was cheap and if use on a daily basis,its actually quite good in keeping my skin soft and moisturized. It might not be as soaked up with essence like other individual sheet mask but given that I had open it for 2 months now,it is still the way it is when I opened it.I'm almost done with this (phew~),using it twice a week,sometimes when I feel like it I use it continuously for 2 days.I have to say this is quite economical if you can get it on discounted price.
Ratings : 3.5/5! Works well for the price thou the sheet mask might be too thin.Will I repurchase? When it goes on sale again,yes!

Update : I re-read this blog post and found out I used anlot of 'given' in my sentences!! I blame this on probability!!!! Taking Elementary Statistics this semester,and boy its not easy,its pretty confusing!

Consistency : Thick gel like cream,not much of a cream,yet not a gel either.

Comments : Even though it says Eye Balm,I actually use this for the face too. So it claims to reduce dark circles ,puffiness and tiredness. I gotta agree with the puffiness and tiredness. Not so much on the dark circles,BUT this Immortelle range comes with another cream targetting dark circles.I will review that in another post. I haven't been having the best sleep lately,been taking long naps after college,sleeping at 12,waking up at 6 and I always feel tired and LOOKED tired,so whenever I skip this(lazy hahaahah) it would be very obvious,my skin is just bad and messed up.On good days when I do use this,I would notice that my skin looks better and I didn't look as if I just spend a night awake. I Have to be very frugal with this as 0.5oz is really really small :/

Ratings : 4/5! This is quite awesome as I actually notice the difference on days without using it and on days using it. As for the price tag,I forgot so I'm not stating it here but its not cheap either :/ for a 0.5 oz eyebalm,oh well life sucks.

On something totally unrelated,I placed an online order for this boyfriend jeans which I hope would fit me the way I wanted it to be,I can't wait for it to arrive,I've been eying it for a week and been measuring my hips waist and deliberating on whether I should get this- which I did.

I got it in light blue just because I don't have any pair of denim in that color!

I also placed an order for a genuine leather bag( I don't know how genuine it can get but oh well) which is inspired by the famous Proenza Schouler!

There was also the one that is made of suede which looks soooo good but again,a risky choice as I'm really clumsy,so nope.

I can't wait for it to arrive,I will blog about it when it does!

A Yellow Zebra with Orange Stripes N' Starbucks Sinful Delight

Not bad for a first attempt ey? This is my summer version of zebra stripes nails!

Base was a bright pastel yellow while the stripes are the orange I had on in my previous nail swatches post.I added stripes of silver shimmer on my ring finger.

New York New York Deli in One Utama

Had lunch at a quaint restaurant located at a hidden corner in One Utama called New York New York Deli which is a very chic Deli with a wide range of menu.This was before I cut my hair XD

Crazy list of drinks,and quite affordable too,I like how to coffee menu comes in small and large as I'm not much of a coffee person.

And guess what?They serve breakfast ALL FREAKING DAY! I Love my bacons and egss and pancakes too <3

Some strawberry yogurt drink!

Fish and chips was lovely,it was flaky,fresh,and juicy served with crispy fries and so many dippings! Thats Thai sweet chili sauce,I don't really know why its there in a american deli XD

This is a smoked salmon panini? I think,can't remember what type of bread I ordered buy anyhow,love it!

The side salad is served with balsamic vinegar which gave it a great kick!

The smoked salmon is sandwiched along with grilled vegetables and fresh vegetables,quite healthy minus the mayo =P

Fried Mars Bar!!!This was just okay,but it was quite a sinful delight ,it was great paired with cold ice cream and some sour strawberry :)

I have a freaking big button nose ARGHHHH.

1.I think I shouldn't be wearing stockings,but it was cold (rainy day,it is never cold in Malaysia .__.)and I just threw them on.
2.The pumps! I wanted to wear something comfortable,anything with heels = not comfortable. I think it would have been better if I paired it with boots.
3.This picture sucks,but the best among the rest wtf,my bf is a lousy photographer,even my mom takes better photo -__-
4.Notice that the bag is facing inside? HAHAHAHAAHAH WTF I AM AN EPIC FAILURE.
5.The grey lace top underneath the white crop cut is just...weird T.T worst when paired with the grey cardigan.

Conclusion : I can't post good outfit posts for nuts XD

My massive haul for the month of May on separate trips,I can't believe I spent so much this month on so many stuff! The finals I had early of May really pushed me >.<

Anyhow,sharing some pictures of my haul,on those beauty and skincare products,watch out for the reviews in my upcoming posts! =D

#1 Sailor collar top! Been wanting to get one of this since forever but it is always that expensive!I found this in a flea market at Cineleisure for only RM25,so I had to,it might be slightly out of trend(scallop top is the new thing) but I loved it!

#2 Hair makeover!Okay so maybe this is not a haul but I did spend money on it,can it be consider as one?

Thats the hairstylist that Shermaine introduced to me :3 and I'll probably make her mine too,muahaha. I will blog about my trip to the saloon in another post!

It was on sale for RM10 only! Original price was about RM19.90. Bought this for fun just because it was cheap lol.

#7 The Body Shop Spa Wisdom Japan Adzuki Bean & Rice Washing Grain.

This smells divine! I love the smell of Adzuki Bean and the beads that both mixed up to smell like the sea!in a good way. Review coming up soon!

#8 St.Ives Sensitive Skin Apricot Scrub(Gentle)

I've never use any other face scrub besides those from St.Ives just because they make the best facial scrub in the world! XD I super love their blemish apricot scrub but I think my skin has improved since my highschool days so I switched to the gentle scrub.

This is one of my favorite nail polish which is a minty tiffany blue color!Got it from Etude House. When I saw this on display,I gotta have it because it reminds me so much of the Tiffany and Co famous and signature box colors! At the same time,it reminds me of the Essie mint color!

Sorry for the messy cuticle bed,didn't clean up enough but wanted to snap it instantly.

This is taken under normal lighting.

With top coat ,and on the ring finger I had on a sheer white nail polish as a top coat.

Yay or Nay?

Consistency : Smooth,heavy and thick cream with SPF ( Apparently it is new in Malaysia) So its like a 2 in 1 lotion.

Packaging : Plastic squeeze tube.

Comments :

First of all,I am very bad with keeping track on the prices of products that I buy unless its something that I've been wanting for the longest time,random buys like this is just...not that important,haha and sometimes I wanted to test it out for at least a week or more,and then forget about the price.
I am slightly uncomfortable with the scent of this lotion,I don't know why,many find it pleasant but its just...not right for me,has anyone try this before and find the scent uncomfortable?
The lotion applies on sticky(thou very much expected with Vaseline's range of lotion) and it takes time for it to sink in and for the stickiness to subside a little.I don't know if its the weather here that affects the consistency or is it just me? Luckily the lotion can be easily wash off with water and soap.
It is very hard to blend it,takes time,I had to rub pretty hard -__-
I did not notice any lightening effects but it does prevent my skin from getting graze by the sun.

Ratings : 3/5, Would I repurchase? A BIG FAT NO,I would prefer something that appeals to me more with the scent.

UPDATE : A question posted by Gwen,thanks for asking ^^ And yes it does smell like the lotion from the normal range ( as in the pink one)

So my roots were showing,about 3 cm in length,and my hair is sort of in a mess,well maybe not that bad but I've got a huge forehead and after much consideration ,deliberation and also opinions from the bf and friends,I've decided to...get me self BANGS and go shades darker just because I'm lazy just like that, AW YEAH.

Revlon Plum Seduction,A Very Berry Color

2 coats only! But I was a little heavy handed on application.

So Guardian ( Local Drugstore) was running a sale on Revlon Products,I really wanted to get the Photo Ready foundation but I'm not ready yet to dip my toes into the world of foundations again,I'm hooked on BB creams,so easy to apply. Should I get the mineralized powder?

Anyhow,for Malaysian readers :) The nail polish was RM 20(About USD 6 +,yah I know we are sad kids here in Malaysia) before discount,I got this for RM14! Too bad the selection of nail polishes stays the same for like...the longest time,nothing special,just the same old colors.And this is my first Revlon nail polish,I have to say,its not that bad,the Revlon nail polish is quite runny yet it dries up quite fast which is a + for me.

REVLON YOU HEAR ME?BRING IN MORE COLORS TO MALAYSIA.ALL OF IT ARE SUCKY SHADES OF BROWN,YUCK.

By the way,I went for another round of movies today!

Paul the alien movie which I think was heavily censored here in Malaysia -___________-" But overall it was okay,I enjoyed it,but did not like it nor love it.

Pirates of the Carribean - On Strangers Tides (4th installment) which was okay,I expected much more from this movie,its as if I've eaten but not enough. I want more! I thought I would see more of the mermaids in the movie,Gemma Ward is really pretty and so enchanting in Pirates of the Carribean.

I can't wait for Transformer,saw the trailer twice and OPTIMUS was killing it,I simply can't wait~

Wanted to to watch Something Borrowed but the timing was not right,oh well,maybe next week ;)

Mentholatum Oxy Powder Lotion - Affordable Lotion for the Oily and Blemish Prone Skin

Phew,that was an awful long title don't you think? So this is the lotion I use during the day ( I am currently using the Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion at night) to keep my skin oil free for as long as possible.

Price : Its very affordable,around RM 10 - Rm15,I can't remember >.< my apologies.

Consistency : Clear liquid with oil absorbing powder that sinks in when not in use. Fragrance free.

Packaging : Plastic bottle with a flat top and a hole to tap the lotion out.

Comments : My face is full of oil glands,I kid you not -__- but thats mostly during the day,I blame the weather here,hot humid and just bad. Anyhow as I get my whitening fix at night,I need all the oil control products I can get my hands on during the day.So this was one of it ( it replaced the clinique blemish control toner) that was part of my day face routine.This keeps the oil at bay for 2 hours tops without the Biore Sunblock Milk,BB cream and MM finish powder which is good enough,but on super hot and humid days,it doesn't help much.Whats worst is that I'm almost like a candle princess,I sweat buckets upon heat,I'm like a walking heat sensor. Nyaaa -___- Overall this product is great and affordable,it works almost close to the clinique toner which is much more expensive compared to this.

Ratings : 3.5 /5. Would I repurchase?Maybe,I'm still on the lookout for better ones.

By the way,I came across this video which was very hilarious in my opinion - cooking in a hotel room with just a coffee maker,foil and iron. Of course theres food like oatmeal bacon and eggs.

I think in times of desperation,I would actually consider the bacon,foil and iron idea,its very convincing.

Natalie Tran is a very funny person,I'm surprised that I've not came across her videos earlier.

Pasta Zanmai , Japanese Pasta with an Italian Heart

Right after my last paper,I drove my bf and myself to the nearest shopping mall to indulge in some good food just because we can ^.^* We were in for something Japanese but not sushi so Japanese pasta it was.

Pasta Zanmai is part of the SuperSushi chain which owns Sushi Zanmai (conveyor belt sushi restaurant) and Sushi Zen ( caters to higher demand customers,nearer to the fine dining range).

An inspiration from the immense diversity of delicate and healthy Japanese food and the love for pasta. A creation from fresh & natural raw materials, prepared to perfection with original recipes. An experience of unique & delectable Japanese Pasta; a palate promised to be fondly appreciated.

So the one I went to was at Sunway Pyramid,there are also outlets at One Utama,Midvalley,Hartamas and Empire Shopping Gallery in Subang Jaya.

So here is a picture of the dessert menu which differs slightly from the ones at Sushi Zanmai,I have no idea why.

Monthly special menu dedicated to my friend whose name is May too =D

They serve food besides pasta too,rice dish for the rice lovers and some Japanese pizzas and sushis.

So heres me all excited waiting for the food to come.

The pastas there comes in choices of set or non set. Set meals comes with an extra of Miso soup and Mini Japanese Salad with Sesame Sauce.

This is yumm, shredded crab meat on top fresh vegetables with sesame sauce.

I had the Seafood with Spicy Mentaiko dry pasta.

Whats Mentaiko?

Mentaiko is marinated roe of pollock that is commonly used in Japanese cuisine. I first came to know about Mentaiko from Cheesie's blog and then after never look back after trying it,it goes very well with sushi,rice or just anything =3

Heres a better look of the pasta,thats Mentaiko sitting on top the pasta,it tasted so good with a squeeze of lemon.

My bf had the set menu specials ( they have another menu with special set menus with combos).

Tempura Seafood and Vegetable Sesame Sauce pasta in S size.

And its partner in crime is the Unagi Tamago Onsen rice. Tamago Onsen is those egg cooked slightly with the yolk still raw and the whites still runny.

So basically Japanese pasta is just pasta with with Japanese ingredients,do you feel cheated? hehehehe,sorry! Maybe the pasta is made in Japan lol lol.I tried googling on Japanese pasta but there was no proper results.So I guess its just incorporation of Japanese ingredients with Italian pasta.

Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Essence

I've been using this for quite some time now and think its about time I share my experience with everyone on this product.

I really wanted to take pictures of my skin before using this and after weeks of using this but its so hard to do so because of external factors.I did notice a better skin condition but very minor to be captured on photos.

Price : RM59.90 if not mistaken,I should really note down the price of products I buy next time.
Consistency : Cloudy white gel/cream,non sticky.Alcohol-free,fragrance-free.
Packaging : Good quality plastic with pump,I dislike the pump as it curves at an angle where you can't get a clean pump out of it.
Comments : A typical essence,I did see a difference but very mild difference in my skin tone after weeks of usage,it takes time for the essence to be absorb by the skin. Would have prefer the essence to be liquid type instead of those cloudy gel/cream texture.Nothing much to rave about but it did provide moisture for the skin,just did nothing much on the lightening/whitening part.I use this at night after Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion.
Ratings : 3.5/5. Did nothing much for me,would not repurchase.

Water for Elephants and Thor

So I finally went out today and caught 2 movies back to back =D After about 7 weeks of intense studying for finals,I haven't been actually been up to date about movies that were and are out. I have Love and Other Drugs in my external hard disc and will be watching it tomorrow while I do my house chores XD if I stay at home that is.

The latest movies out in local theater would be Thor!Not so new but its still on box office.

Chris Hemsworth is so buff and sexy! Gotta love the abs and ripped muscles XD His so different from his brother,Liam Hemsworth.

For those who don't know,Thor is a movie based on the popular comic book that most have read in their younger days,I sure did thanks to my brother.

I'm not revealing much just in case some of you haven't gotten the chance to watch it.

The other movie that I caught today was Water for Elephants which I think was just...average.

This movie is based on a novel on circus shows and falling for the forbidden love. I didn't quite like R.Pat's acting skills but overall it was great. I don't quite get it on why its called Water for Elephants where there was only one elephant in the movie/novel( I googled) XD But thats just me.

However,I came across an article here that reported that the elephant in the show was abused/harmed in production for this movie and its almost as cruel as what was shown in the movie.

Oh well,any must watch movies to recommend? Please do! before summer semester begins =D
